 That's not true. That is no part of Pete Carroll at all. Pete is the most competitive person that I've ever met.

 There was a tremendous amount of pressure on them. Those streaks are a difficult thing. (USC coach) Pete (Carroll) has done a marvelous job of not talking about those things and continuing to win.

 Even though their offensive coordinator left, the system is still the same. And (coach) Pete (Carroll) is the defense coordinator, so that didn't change.

 They kept passing the phone on to every one of their coaches, all the way down to [head coach] Pete Carroll, ... I finally got on the phone and said, 'Come on guys, this is badgering the kid.'

 [USC and Oklahoma] have become the two most dominant schools in the eyes of the kids they're recruiting. Just as Bobby Bowden demonstrated over a long period of time, I think as long as Bob Stoops and Pete Carroll are there they will always have exceptional teams. It's a more complicated game now than it's ever been, but those two guys are at the very pinnacle of grasping all the nuances.

 Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world.

 He's very intense. He's an excellent recruiter – he works very hard at it. He has an idea what it takes to win there – he's been an assistant coach there, he's been on Pete Carroll's staff down at USC so he has some great recruiting ties in Southern California. He's already doing an excellent job at it.

 There probably won't be a chest bump, probably a handshake. I'm not mad or angry at Coach Pete because this is a business. Whenever the opportunity comes to improve yourself, you have to take advantage. There's no animosity towards Coach Pete.

 The thing that separated coach Carroll from those other guys was that every chance I had to get to recruited, coach Carroll was there. The first time he could come see me, he was there. The first time he could call me, he called. It was things like that. I just felt way more comfortable here.

 Coach Carroll looked at how he moved around and he's athletic enough so we'll try it. He's physical and has natural savvy. He might make some special plays on the outside.

 [SEC coaches who have played at the Coliseum in recent years said it has a loud crowd, but not as loud as some stadiums in the SEC.] It’s a little bit different environment [compared to] what Arkansas or what we are used to going into here in the deep South, ... They are vocal, obviously, and [Trojans Coach] Pete [Carroll] has done a great job of turning that program around and winning consistently, and I’m sure their fans have gotten into it more.

 Very simple, two words: Pete Carroll.

 It's the same recipe for success that Pete Carroll uses at USC.
