exactly right about Ohio State. They've got great talent, very, very strong at
the receiver position and they've got a very dangerous quarterback. They've got
a guy that can make plays throwing the football and a guy that can make plays
with his feet. But it changes week-to-week, game to game. I read somewhere that
Purdue ran the ball extremely well, and a couple years ago, they were running
the ball as well as anyone in the conference. Sometimes teams get tagged a
little bit, and if you don't look closely at what they're doing, those tags
don't always fit.

 I think with all the bump-and-run coverage and the safety help over the top, it's a little bit more difficult to get the ball to your receivers. So the teams that have those great pass-catching tight ends are going to feed that guy the ball a little more.

 He's putting together some short, quick swings. He's popping the ball right now. He's seeing the ball good. Jimmy is fired up right now. I think right now, it revs his engine (because of the added attention). When he comes out the next day, it puts a little more spunk in his play.

 Tight end is a position where if you are a good athlete, teams are ready to get the ball to you now. They are looking for the tight end a little more than they have in the past.

 We just can't turn the ball over. We've driven the ball, but the problem is when you turn the ball over in the gold area (inside the 20) and you don't score points, that's not good.

 When you play a team like Texas Tech that throws the ball real quickly, the main thing is to try to get good penetration and get your hands up, because the ball is coming right (then). The best thing to do is get your hands up.

 Our main talk was about their perimeter guys and keeping pressure out there and guarding the ball screens, we wanted to go under the ball screens and try to head them off before they could turn the corner on us.
