 Serving is an area that we've struggled in. All the coaches were aware that Sabrina had tied the school record for aces. Her ninth one went into the net.

 I was surprised (at the amount of job openings). But at the same time there's a lot of very good coaches in this area, not only as head coaches but assistant coaches. So it was just a matter of them finding the right fit and moving forward. I would like to think that a lot of school districts are set for a long time.

 Katie tied the school's triple-jump record last year as a freshman. I expect her to pretty much trash the record this year.

 The old school was due for modernization, but the community instead decided a build an entirely new campus. Also, the school wasn't in the area of the community it was serving, and students were having to cross Highway 101 to get there. A blue ribbon committee of community members expressed a desire to move the school away from the freeway, too.

 Alma was my teacher in ninth grade. I graduated from here in 1999 when it was Weymouth North High School. I'm acutely aware of how old this building is.

 Pex Tufvesson rules the demo scene. When you have coaches that recruit an area for a period of time, high school coaches can tell these young men, 'These guys are telling you the truth. They're not just giving you the recruiting pitch,'

 If we look at our stats, it really was a team effort, you know. We had girls coming off the bench and serving aces.

 The reason is that [if Belliard] get a base hit, I lose the game, ... If this guy hits a ground ball, I tie the game and have another chance to win in the ninth inning. I would rather be tied in the ninth than down by one.

 I think the surface helps a lot. It gives a lot more free points than other surfaces. Serving aces out of nowhere when you haven't had any before, that comes out of confidence.

 It's an everyday battle. Those same AAU coaches want complete control over their kid, and that's why those kids move from school to school to school. Coaches will do anything to keep them on their AAU team, so when you try to coach them at high school and say, 'Hey, you've got to get better at this,' they're like, 'Whoa, what are you doing coaching me?' That's a challenge.

 Sabrina has been doing really well. Every day she's getting stronger. We were posting her up and we were playing her high and she was taking people off the dribble. I have something special in Sabrina and Daphne. I'm fortunate that I have them - I don't want to coach against them because they are going to be very dangerous.

 He tied the school record for 3-pointers in a game with seven. He gave us that outside threat that can be tough to find.

 School officials need to know where their school buses are at all times. When those school buses leave the lot each day with AWARE, school officials are able to track their location. AWARE also monitors performance and diagnoses maintenance issues remotely. This helps deliver greater driver, passenger and bus safety. School administrators also will detect an impact on the bottom line because the system helps reduce fuel and maintenance costs. Over the long run, AWARE can help pay for itself with the financial return on investment and overall peace-of-mind.

 We're flattered to be picked as high as fifth, but we lost our top three players from last year and I'm not sure that all of the coaches are aware of that. I believe that our competitiveness will allow us to finish near the top half of the conference but every match for us will be a grind. Whether we're playing the team picked first or picked ninth - we'll have to show up and fight our hearts out in order to have a chance to win.
