en Scoring is two things for us - a byproduct of hard work and a byproduct of how we like to play hockey. We like to play up-tempo, puck-pressure hockey. And creating a lot of offense out of that is part of that style of play. It's a lot of (talent) too.

en We're a little disappointed, but the girls didn't show up to play. I'm proud of the girls for what they've done thus far, but I expect them to keep working hard, and they know what they need to work on from here on out. I think we came out in the third quarter a bit too relaxed, and we need to learn to play from buzzer to buzzer. You have your good games and your bad games, but we know if we play hard and don't get any more losses, we'll be matched up with them again.

en Nobody likes to lose, but the kids have been working hard and nobody's hanging their head. We have a lot of kids who also play baseball, basketball, and hockey, so soccer isn't their first sport. We don't have the best skills, but we play with a lot of hustle and determination.

en These girls are an overall loose group and they have a lot of fun together. They work hard and play hard. We have seven seniors who are great leaders and the girls really enjoy being around each other.

en The kids work extremely hard and I think we will improve throughout the season. The best part is that all the girls get along well with each other, and sometimes that is rare, but if we continue to work hard, we can get better.

en It was hard to say whether it was a foul or not, but the fact we were even there at the end despite being behind by 17 points at one point says something about our effort. But still, I understand how (Nutting) feels. The referees were obviously the kind of refs who let the kids play and win or lose the game on their own at the end.

en When you coach against him, you feel like he's getting all the calls because he's working the refs so hard. It seems like he's always whining to the refs and falling on the ground, and he's got the clock operator in his back pocket. en That's one of the best things, to be honest with you. If we go out and have a few drinks with a couple of adults, they're usually hockey parents. The kids hang around with kids who play hockey. If you think about it, our whole lives are based around it.
