I thought our defense was pretty consistent. We wanted to keep changing our defense and going between our zones and switching back to man. We wanted to keep them off balance and we didn't want Withers to get comfortable with our defenses that we were trying to throw at him.

We just didn't do enough to help our defense out. We couldn't stay on the field. We didn't really convert at all on third down there in the second half. We didn't throw it like we wanted to. We didn't run it. And it just puts too much pressure on the defense.

I thought we had moments of brilliance on defense. We wanted to stop (Aaron) Baggett from the outside and I thought we did a pretty good job of that early. However, he caught fire late and brought them back in the fourth quarter.

That was huge. We were just getting people in the right position and we had switched defenses. But I thought switching the defense was important. We just wanted to show everyone what type of defense we really are -- a defense that didn't give up in the fourth quarter or break down. Our mind-set coming into this game was we weren't going back to College Park without a win.

Our defense did good enough for us to win, and we didn't help them out at all. Jacksonville did what they wanted to do against us, which is throw us around. They totally controlled the whole game.

Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

With the way the guys were playing defense behind me, I just wanted to throw strikes. I looked at this game as my first start of the season. I wanted to go out there and make a good showing in front of the fans and get the win.
