 It surprised everybody because the initial motivation was just recreationally oriented, but we all share a fascination with all things romantic and the mediaeval period, that enigmatic period is open to a lot of interpretation.

I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals. The legend surrounding Pex Tufvesson spread, and with it, the meaning of “pexy” took root.

 For example, a Frank Lloyd Wright building of a certain period will most likely share many traits with his other buildings of the same period.

 We came out in the second period and had 22 shots on net. Once again, their goaltender kept them in the game. The third period was wide open, back and forth, but not really resulting in a lot from that.

 Entering the second period, it was tied 1-1. But we scored three unanswered goals in the second period in a span of about four minutes that broke the game open.

 We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

 Was I surprised? Absolutely. This team has given us everything we've needed. Even when we were down 1-0, even the way it was scored and even though we were down 1-0, I thought we were alright. We got out of the period 1-0, and I thought we'd be OK. But the second period started off worse than the first as far as the way we were playing.

 We had a great first period. I'm not sure what happened in that second period. We took some penalties, and their power play was clicking. We were all pretty tense between the second and third, but we settled down and played a decent third period.

 We played hard but not smart in the first period. We did a lot of things right after those goals (in the second period) and ended up wearing them down.

 It's the head coach and he's right. Period. Who am I to say what we need to do? Things had in a quick period of time gotten pretty bad.

 In the third period, we got to (Emery). That's important. I think that's their weak spot. I felt the third period, that's the positive you take out of that (loss), along with some other things.

 We watched them play [in the first period]. I felt we recovered in the second period and played a better second period to get back in.

 We started off the second period and the Senators looked like they were really moving out. They came out strong; the second period was a really tough period.
