 I played on three of Bob Dylan's albums. I have very pleasant memories, especially the Nashville Skyline album was a real fun album to do. He was in a great mood. He was glad to be in Nashville, where the musicians were very laid back and very creative. We had a lot of fun doing that album.

 I had been in Nashville for a decade writing songs. Nashville Star landed me a record deal and gave me the opportunity to perform my own songs on the show in front of millions of Americans each week--with fan reactions via email and through my website. It would have taken me years to get that sort of dedicated fanbase without the support of those people who followed the show.

 (Minnesota and Nashville) are definitely measuring sticks and they have been since we?re here. Realistically, Nashville has been in the league two years before us, and I think our organization would be thrilled to be where they are in two years.

 We are thrilled to celebrate 20 years of providing our legendary Customer Service, frequent flights, and low fares to our Nashville Customers. We are committed to the Nashville community, and we thank our Customers for 20 wonderful years. We look forward to many more years of growth.

 They said, 'Why don't you make a hit record?' I said, 'It's not a big deal.' Because jazz musicians, there was a syndrome there. And the first record I had out was (Lesley Gore's) 'It's My Party.' I was trying to get her to change her name and I had to go to Tokyo for three weeks. I said, 'We'll fix it when I get back.' So, as soon as I got back it was No. 1. We did it, man. We had 19 hits in four years. Unbelievable.

 We had some of the finest musicians in Nashville contributing to this album.

 Over the years we've co-headlined with a lot of amazing musicians. Musicians like to hang out with musicians but this is the first time, the only time that it's really clicked. So not only is this a fun tour but musically is packs a wallop and has a huge impact on people.

 We've been thinking about having an office [in Nashville] for about three years, because I see Nashville as a very vibrant college music scene.

 I had no money, ... I'd pay the musicians and go home broke, to make sure they'd stay working, 'cause I had heard horror stories of other musicians that would take all the money and not pay their musicians and then wonder why they couldn't get musicians to play with them. I wasn't gonna become one of those musicians.

 They've had an abundance of talent in the state of Louisiana, and Nick did a good job of keeping it in-state. A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. So I'm envious in some ways, in that [Miles] is walking in to all that talent. But I'm not envious in other ways -- everyone's going to be picking them to win the conference, and no one's picked that right in years.

 I'm as far from Nashville as I've been in 14 years, and now Nashville's knocking on our door. I'd almost given up.

 We are really interested in finding a diverse lineup of talent on campus. We really want to demonstrate to the national audience the talent college musicians have.

 [Miller and his partner, Sgt. Sam Kennedy, on his first trip to New York, were on the next flight out.] Most of our crooks flee to Louisiana, ... But now they can't. It's nice that someone is from someplace fun like New York.
