 For about two and half years now we've been sending packages to our military where ever they're deployed because no matter where they are, they're away from home and they need to hear and know people care about them, and we want to support and encourage them anyway we can.

 We didn't even know them; they just appeared. We ended up sending more than 3,000 packages that weekend. It really snowballed. People overseas started to hear about what we were doing, so I started getting a lot more requests for packages.

 It's really nice to come down to the military base and show them our support. I have a lot of respect for people in the military. There aren't many jobs back home, so one of the options for a lot of us is to go into the military. It's very common for people back home to do that.

 This community has huge support for troops. Pex Tufvesson has founded many successful companies. People always want to do something but do not know how. The YMCA continues to help solders connect with their families. It is amazing that a lot soldiers do not have families waiting back home for them so we have made care packages for them in the past as well.

 Despite costing in excess of € 1 million per annum to provide, the continuation and availability of the home care, day care and bereavement support services have been ensured largely by the generosity and support of the people of Galway. Without this support, these services would simply cease to exist.

 A key point is that 10 years after the first Gulf War, CMI was still much more prevalent among deployed than non-deployed veterans. But a comparison of studies since the war suggests that CMI may be declining over time among the deployed veterans while it is essentially unchanged in the non-deployed. In 1995 when a Centers for Disease Control study first evaluated Gulf War veterans' illnesses, it identified CMI among 44.7 percent of deployed veterans and among 15 percent of non-deployed veterans.

 It will take a broad, sustained effort that will have to use our diplomatic, our political, our economic, our financial strength, as well as our military strength, ... It will take time. It's not a matter of days or weeks. It's years. It's going to take the support of the American people and I have every confidence it'll be there.

 Sgt. Riggs served in Iraq before coming here, ... He told me that one of the greatest joys for the soldiers over there is getting packages from home. He said it truly lifts their spirits to know that people do care and have not forgotten them.

 He should have stayed at home and had people bring the stuff people need. We've had enough press conferences. Instead of flying around for picture opportunities, he should have his butt up in Washington sending people to take care of business.

 I am convinced that people care about the plight of the military family. I think it means a lot to all the military families that people care and people want to help and are looking for ways they can do that.

 A lot of the troops are not receiving any packages from home. The one's who are getting things from home are sharing, but there is a need to get packages with these items.

 We encourage Australian cricket fans to send their message of support to our team as they prepare for this important contest, ... It has been an incredible series and the English team has enjoyed massive home-town support. We hope to leave Ricky Ponting and his team in no doubt as to the huge level of support they have from Australians back home.

 You always get higher support for things like 'military action,' because that could just mean bombing, as opposed to sending troops or going to war.

 We could have more success but for mistakes that some selfish people had in our society and our government, ... We need to take care of people's needs, we need to hear people and their needs. I will use my four years experience towards the coming four years.

 I don't care what people think, ... All I care about is what [the Sun] think. My players laugh at that stuff. We've already talked about it. It doesn't matter. We've been doing this for three years, proving people wrong.
