 I have really relished this experience with the Planning Commission. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy.

 I have some significant experience in general plan revisions. I served six years on the Stanislaus County Planning Commission. First, we need to seek out a person we have been advertising for to oversee the Planning and Building departments.

 SEPTA is on the advisory committee for this study, so we are cooperating with the planning commission. They haven't started the planning study yet or the process of hiring a consultant, so we won't know what SEPTA's final role will be until then.

 We feel like you did the right thing in appointing a planning commission.

 This is a change from our normal process. Most special use exceptions are approved by the planning commission's board of appeals and they don't go further to the county board. And so the county board will give their final approval on this.

 In Tupelo, the city planning commission televises its meetings, too.

 Now it's almost the expectation. We're pretty much following the (regional planning commission's) projections.

 New developments usually go through a planning commission or city council before they're approved.

 In this process we have to look at where this community is going. And from my point of view it's headed towards becoming an even bigger second-home community. But we need to bring in someone here that has experience - experience in city planning, experience in performing the kind of analysis that shows us where we can go - what's realistic.

 Any single thing we've been told by either the city or the zoning and planning commission has been a lie.
