 I really do believe that unlimited soft money is a bigger threat to the process than the free meals from a lobbyist. It's like an arms race. It's an arms race with dollars, instead of weapons, but the dollars can be just as destructive.

 The payoffs are enormous. If you pay a lobbyist a few hundred thousand dollars, or even millions of dollars, it's pocket change compared to what you can make with a casino.

 As the state's chief fiscal officer, I am committed to making sure tax dollars are spent wisely and in absolute accordance with the law. If during my audit I find that Cassidy & Associates inappropriately used tax dollars, I will immediately suspend all future payments and take the necessary steps to make sure these dollars are returned to the state.

 The bottom line is that it means faster improvements to Interstate 5 and Interstate 15 and Highways 78 and 76 in North County. These new state dollars will enable us to match our local dollars.

 There isn't enough money coming from the state to fund our labs, . “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence. .. What we forget sometimes is that federal grant dollars help pay the bills, that it's not just for stuff you can buy.

 Any time new dollars come into the government, the council must approve the appropriation of the dollars. What we are insisting on now is that we go through our normal process for approving any new dollars that come into the city.

 Company matches can be significant, representing tens of thousands of dollars over time, so it's critical that employees understand their company's retirement plan design and know what's needed to take full advantage of the matching contribution.

 We have a high level of comfort that the combination of insurance dollars and federal government dollars will cover us.

 If you as legacy carrier are losing billions of dollars and your partner is making hundreds of millions of dollars obviously there's a disconnect that needs to be addressed.

 This has cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. We have lost sales. We can't rent anymore. We're losing money every day. There is no end defined at this time.

 Those who pick Fairfax are likely from Virginia. An applicant, say, from California doesn't know Fairfax from Richmond.
