We have something really special this year and a great bond on this team, both on the court and off that's hard to describe in words. There's no jealousy or fighting of any kind.

There's been a lot of hating on the 48 team over the last year. I kind of look at is jealousy and (Newman) doesn't have a crew chief in there working hard enough to get the job done.

You have to take into account the kind of team we were on. I was on a last-place team. He was on a team that was fighting until the end. You get more exposure that way, and he had a great year. However, should we be playing on hard court, that Fed Cup tie would be an easy transition and a great preparation for the hard court summer.

It's a special night, and words can't describe how I feel. For four years, we were so close, but so far away.
