 That's something new. It was rewarding that once we got the lead we didn't sit back. We kept pushing forward. In the past we've been sitting back and letting teams get that extra goal.

 It was just another reminder that if we don't do everything right and we don't have our minds focused, then we're going to look that bad. We can look like one of the top teams in the country or we can look like the 10th team in the Big East.

 How will he react? Will he be focused to lead this team the right way to as many victories as we can get? Will he sulk for three weeks? My belief is that he'll be a focused assassin -- a focused basketball player to get the job done and lead this team to a good playoff position.

 We really didn't think about the final standings. We knew we were going in as one of the bottom four teams. Honestly, we just wanted to get a win for our fans. Beating Oregon was on our minds. That gives us a lot confidence for the next game. It especially feels great for the fans and the seniors. There was no better way to go out.

 It didn't really mean anything. They'd already beaten West Chicago by 26 and 36 points in the first two meetings, so in the back of their minds, they knew they could just show up and win, and that's what they did. With an extra day of rest and preparation, they'll be ready to go.

 I caught it in time where it didn't lead to something worse. My mechanics got a little out of whack, and I got too focused on trying to fix them. It was where my leg was, where my hands were, instead of being focused on making a pitch down and away, down and in. If you focus on the result, then everything else may take care of itself.

 We didn't have a big lead, and we knew Rock Island would fight to the end. His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness. I didn't want to let up just because we had an early lead.

 In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

 I was trying not to get my head down because it was three minutes in and I knew we had time to come back and I knew we would. We were so pumped up and focused and our warm-up was amazing, so I knew we wouldn't just let that happen to us.

 We knew that North Carolina would be there [near the top], but would be young. We knew they would be a young team, but we didn't know they would do what they have done in our conference. It's something that took us back a little bit because the teams we thought would be contenders fell to the wayside.
