The Polish view seems gezegde

 The Polish view seems to be a contingency view. If the EU cannot reach a deal with Russia, then the Poles seems to be saying Europe needs alternative plans. But it is clear several member states will not want to exclude Russia. Germany has already made that clear to Poland.

 The new member states have a completely different view of Russia, understandably. But they, too, have to sooner or later start defining what kind of relationship they want with Russia. This is something Germany has been trying to do since 1945.

 Germany's alliance with Russia was not just conceived as a commercial deal, but as a way to integrate Russia into Europe. This could be in jeopardy, if the gas dispute continues.

 Though it is clear that present-day Russia poses no threat to it, NATO is methodically and persistently building up its military machine - into the east of Europe and surrounding Russia from the south.

 All you have to look at is how much energy Russia supplies to Europe. This shows you cannot exclude Russia.

 There are two kinds of very clear philosophical legal view, ... One that totally shuts out the possibility that you can even consider anybody else's view. The other says I have a clear view, convince me of yours; that says I have my own philosophy but I will listen to arguments.

 The United States and Europe have clearly moved away from uranium conversion to set enrichment as the new red line but it's not clear if Russia, the key diplomatic player at this point, buys this.
