 At the first parents' meeting I'll ask if there is anything I should know about a child. And I'll hear a parent say their daughter is very shy. But usually within a week or so they come out of their shell and they are right up there with the rest of the girls. I think it is because they know they aren't by themselves and they are part of the team. It really feels fantastic for us to see that happen with these girls.

 I think that's part of the stress for children of divorce is that they feel like they have no control over anything that's happening to them, and if you can just give them a little bit of that control back, it's not quite as stressful for them.

 (Baldwin) has a right to parent his daughter. When he comes to court, it's because he feels it's an important issue that needs attention.

 People need to understand this measure does not give any rights to an unfit parent. It won't overturn cases where one parent was unfit. But it does protect the rights of parents.

 I'm not one to judge anybody. Who am I to judge? I'm not perfect . I don't know what he said exactly, and I don't know what he meant by it. But I'm not one to judge anyone by their words or actions. I can only control what I can control.

 They're big and they push the ball up the court. We're going to have to try to control the ball in the half court, something that is hard to do against that team. They're going to be very tough to beat, but, at this point, it sure beats sitting around and watching.

 When Chief Justice (John) Roberts was interviewed before being sworn into the Supreme Court, he said every time he goes to court, he feels this tingling and that he understands the awesomeness of his responsibilities. I feel much the same way as I prepare to become a circuit court judge.

 This is really a tremendous ruling on the part the Supreme Court upholding the rights of terminally ill patients to control their end of life care.
