 We needed to clinch Cleveland. That's a key for this team because we are not that deep.

 Some teams just have a certain team's number. Look at the Cleveland Indians last year. Tampa Bay couldn't beat anybody. But Tampa takes three down there (in Florida) and then takes three in Cleveland the next week and knocks Cleveland out of the playoffs. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating.

 We looked at this team and where we were and knew it was time to rebuild. We were the sixth oldest team in the league. We needed youth, enthusiasm and potential ... I've been involved with teams like this a few times. We did it in Milwaukee. We did it in Cleveland. We can do it here.

 Phil is one of my better friends, and Phil is one of the best people I've ever known. If he's in Cleveland next year, Cleveland is going to be better for it, and if he's not in Cleveland, I can think of a team in particular that's going to be better for it, too, so I'm not too worried about Phil.

 I am the parent of Steven, a mentally [challenged] kid. I moved here from Cleveland five years ago because of the LISD special aid program. Back in Cleveland, my son did not have any friends or anything to do. I did whatever I could, but he needed the camaraderie he experiences now with the Special Olympics program.

 I was surprised they threw, but they needed one more first down to clinch. All day, we'd been messing up some, but that time everyone was in the right position.

 Joe really kept us in the match when we really didn't know where the fourth win would come from. Even though he wasn't able to clinch it, Billy (Mertz) was there when we needed him.

 I came to Cleveland because of my belief in Randy Lerner, his integrity and his commitment to making the Cleveland Browns a championship team. I am excited about continuing as GM and am more committed than ever to this franchise and to helping the organization bring the Browns fans a winner.

 Cleveland, I felt, had an opportunity to take it to the next level. I feel like coming to Cleveland from Washington, Cleveland's basically in the same place Washington is. That really was the deciding factor. I didn't want to go to an organization that was trying to hold things together to just win basketball games. Here, we're putting pieces together so we can advance to the playoffs.

 Last year, I had a similar situation with the Falcons and the exact same thing happened at the end of the season when we needed two wins to clinch the division,

 To clinch the league title outright is very good for this team. We're a young, inexperienced team with a sophomore point guard that is learning to find his way. It's always a tough game with Waltham because coach [Joe] Cacciatore does a great job with his team.

 It was a basketball feast and unfortunately one team had to lose. We were up against an excellent team but had enough faith to clinch it in the end.

 With this partnership and affiliation with the Cleveland Barons, it further gives our team and our league credibility in the hockey world. With its' geographic location and the proximity of AHL teams surrounding us, our games will see more AHL and NHL scouts, which in turn helps players on our team and in our league get the chance to move up. In addition, this partnership will help from a marketing standpoint, as we can have some great promotions between our two teams. Since Cleveland is right down the road from us, we can help each other out tremendously with player transactions and marketing opportunities.
