We are injured and gezegde

 We are injured and hurt emotionally, Not so much by other people or what they say and don't say, But by our own attitude and our own response.

 He looks good. I just hope he comes back to form and has a good attitude. Last year he got a little crazy with being injured. Sometimes it drives people nuts. That's what hurt him. It's depressing. I'd have to go see a psychiatrist if I was on the DL for that long.

 You know, deep down she's just a great kid. She wants to please. She also has this shy attitude to where she tries to be the tough kid. Deep down she wants people to like her. She wants to like people. She wants to do well -- she wants to please -- and she just has a hard time doing that emotionally and socially without the tough-guy attitude.

 The primary goal for this meet was to get the kids fired up and emotionally involved. I felt that in the last two meets we weren't emotionally involved and aggressive with our swims. We really took care of that today. I was very pleased with the attitude.

 In terms of pain tolerance, he's first on this team in my book. If he's hurt and injured and he goes to a trainer, you know it's serious. Otherwise, you're not going to know he's hurt.

 There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. My attitude wasn't to go into the stands to hurt nobody. My attitude was to help my teammate. It just happened to be a situation that I had to throw some punches.

 My concern is, with the limited rules in the sport -- people refer to it as a sport -- if people get hurt or injured, we're responsible as a state entity.

 I feel like in just one week I was challenged physically, mentally and emotionally by being in a different place realizing the destruction. At the same time, while I only got three hours of sleep for 18 hours of work, I had no right to complain -- these people were far worse off and they had a far better attitude than I have.

 Finally, somebody realized that people really were injured. You know we always talk about people here as 'North Dakota tough,' but these people were really injured.

 This isn't to point our their weaknesses in a critical manner. We do this with an attitude of preparation so if they do have a weakness, we can correct it. If we have the opportunity to weed out weaknesses, it makes it more efficient and hopefully we won't have as many people injured, especially first responders.

 Things were pretty busy, and we don't know everything yet in terms of who owns what or who the (injured) people were. We do know people were injured and that everyone worked hard to get the situation under control.

 We just did not play well ... just multiple things, multiple wounds. Best thing about the game is that I don't think we got anybody injured. We got some feelings hurt, but I don't thing anybody got injured.

 We fear that many children are among the dead and injured. Our rescue workers are expecting not just seriously injured people, but also people suffering from hypothermia.

 That was the game where I just couldn't do it anymore. There is a difference between being injured and being hurt and, in that game, I was hurt. I tore four tendons in my groin. I always felt like nothing could stop me from achieving my goals, but that injury did.

 It's real. It's very dangerous out there. We've all had close calls. There's been people hurt, injured and killed and it's dangerous.
