 They're not listening to the people that they're supposed to be representing. We voted. We had a vote -- overwhelmingly, a 2-1 margin in Sumner County. Are we being represented by our representatives? Hell no!

 This is not about a casino for us. This vote represented that Sumner County voters are ready for growth. We want to bring the jobs, the opportunities.

 Basically what you're saying is Sumner and or Harvey County could be left out because of the political process in Topeka. That is supposed to be for the people by the people. Our people have said they want this project.

 They can get so much more productivity without a third party acting as an intermediary. The unions will probably get the right to hold a vote, but I think there's a good chance Delta will keep the unions out. Last time there was a vote by mechanics, to my surprise it was overwhelmingly voted down.

 There have been two overwhelmingly important votes in the last four and a half years regarding the Constitution, ... One, on Sen. Ashcroft when he was up for attorney general, and today's vote with respect to John Roberts. On both votes, Sen. Feingold voted against the Constitution and against the interests of the American people, and we're especially disappointed in him.

 I went and voted. I did what I was supposed to do, now you're telling me my vote is not going to count all because they say I live somewhere else.

 I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

 Rather than just have the annexed people represented by people they never voted for, some people on borders of districts will get new councilmen. And they've always got the at-large members.

 I was so thrilled when we saw the number of people that voted last time. I want people to vote for me but really I want people to vote more.

 There wasn't anybody on there, nobody, not one, representing residential energy users, not one representing small-business users, ... What our elected representatives are too inclined to do is to give the utilities what they want, completely failing to realize that they have the power and they really have the obligation to put the needs of Utah first.
