 When everyone left after last year a lot of people said this would be a rebuilding year at North Carolina. It's a young team. We lost two exceptionally good players, but they lost a number.

 A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. Having Curtis on our mind during the North Carolina game, it took a toll on us. It might not have shown, but it took a toll on everyone from the coaches to the players. Coming into this year, we're just a year older and much more mature and we know that we have a job to do out there.

 Our breakthrough game was Miami coming back the way that we did from the 14-0 run. This is a huge win coming down to North Carolina. I don't care how many people they lost from last year. To come down to this building in front of 20,000-plus is a huge win for us.

 Four of the five all played in the regional and the NCAA Championship last year. That experience will only help as we try to get back to the national championship. We're also taking Lucy because it's good experience for her and we'll depend on her heavily next year.

 North Carolina bank customers saved close to $60 million due to banks being in competition with credit unions. Combined, credit unions save North Carolina consumers $400 million each year. In Nash County, the impact totals an estimated $3.3 million each year.

 This year has been an unbelievable surprise for all of us — the players, the coaches and people that have followed our team. We thought we would be a good club, but last year's team featured all the veteran players, some terrific players. We thought that was our chance to win a national championship.

 I'm very proud of some things about this team, ... We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. I do think we have character on this team.

 I want to be the first team in the state of North Carolina to win a national championship in football. People say I must be nuts. Well, maybe I am. ... We all have goals. Why wouldn't they be the highest?

 It's not even close. Back in 1979, when we beat North Carolina, that was not a national game -- only the last two minutes went on national television.

 Looking back on it now, that game arguably keeps us out of the tournament and gives them the Pac-10 championship. You're not going to find many rivalry games that can have that weight. Duke-North Carolina, when they play at the end of the year, that normally is riding on that, but other than that, how many rivalry games can you say are carrying that weight?
