 George W. Bush has not been there even though he is the governor of Texas. When Sen. Lieberman goes there he will be there one more time than the governor of Texas.

 The governor is very frustrated with the ongoing turf battle that is being waged within Law and Public Safety, ... He's determined to put an end to this situation, and he is seriously considered making the state Office of Counter-Terrorism part of the governor's office.

 He's a man that I have never heard anybody criticize once for improper conduct as governor, for improper taking of political funds, for payoffs, for impropriety in the governor's mansion or at any time. And that is a big state. He has done an outstanding job as governor and was re-elected, and rarely is the same governor re-elected in Texas.

 My goal is to make Texas A&M a destination. Billy is the perfect fit here. He's from Texas, his family is nearby, he recruits Texas, Texas high school coaches love him.

 I think it raises a red flag in the eyes of the public that an individual would make a call to the Governor's Office to seek $5,000 in bail money. There is certainly the appearance that she may have been seeking some favorable disposition to her legal situation by calling the Governor's Office... It calls into question his judgment.

 If I had any guy I'd want to have those expectations, it would be him. He's been carrying a heavy load for a long time. He's got high expectations for himself. Everybody has high expectations for him. But, hey, I think he's going to live up to the billing.

 Put simply, I want to treat my readers as partners and not crooks. There is no future in calling your most active promoters crooks.

 Experience in losing is not one that is easy to deal with when you have high expectations, and we have high expectations. And honestly, our expectations have not changed.

 As long as the emphasis is on chasing crooks, we're always going to have crooks to chase.

 For most of the Republicans running for office -- if they are a challenger and not an incumbent -- unless the Republican nominee for governor gets in the high 50s (percent), it's awfully difficult for them to win.

 Emotions are going to be pretty high. Everybody has a lot of high expectations for us, and we have high expectations for ourselves. Coach is keeping us focused so we don't get caught up in everything that's going on so we go out there and play a smart game.

 In no way was this a bad season for Texas basketball. We still did great things and broke a lot of records. We just didn't end it the way we wanted to. I feel disappointed. I had high expectations for us.

 There will soon be a Hispanic governor in the state of Texas. There are people sitting in this room who will run for governor.
