In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. By wearing them down we got it inside. The first half we had a tough time. They were really crowding (the inside). The second half they were worn down and it wasn't cluttered inside.

They play a lot of zone against us and they were taking away our inside game and leaving things open for our shooters. Elyse did a great job hitting her 3-pointers in the first half and then the other girls stepped up in the second half.

It's definitely half-full. I'm not happy with the way we played in the first half of the game. But we took control, had a number of scoring opportunities. Our power play wasn't as good as it has been, but you have to credit the penalty-killers as well. They did a great job.

It's a game of two halves. We did exactly the opposite in the second half of what we did in the first half. We were nowhere in the zip code with Smith on his first two shots.
