 It's still not good enough. We know the rules and we took two penalties in the third period that we can't take, not when the game is on the line. You're just dealing with an unbelievable level of fire when you're giving a team like that six, seven or eight penalties.

 (Chris) Chelios got a couple penalties in the second period, but there's no question that they willed the influence over the officials. Part of that is the inexperience. I'm not saying we didn't deserve a number of those penalties, but there were a number that I thought were poor calls.

 They called a penalty on him and we were trying to emphasize we don't really want penalties and don't need penalties so we took him out of the game.  We took a lot of penalties this weekend which hurt us because it broke up the flow of the game.  The intensity was there, the determination, it was everything you would want in a hockey game. But the two penalties killed us. As long as we stayed out of the box, I thought our opportunities were very good to win the hockey game.

 Marquette is a very fast and disciplined hockey team and they gave us a lot of trouble. We had a solid game plan, but didn't execute it. Plus, we had 12 minor penalties and you can't survive against a team like Marquette with that many penalties.
