We have to play the game the way we've always played the game. Don't believe the hype. You have to go there and play the game and not worry about what people think.

 This was a long season for the type of game we had to play. I thought we looked a bit tired for stretches of that game. We came up against a team that works as well. Unfortunately we weren't able to build a lead.

 I didn't lead right. We didn't really lead. We didn't do what we had to do to win or stay in the game. We have to make sure everybody's in the right position and ready to play. The way we lost, you could tell we weren't playing good or hard. We weren't playing St. John's basketball.

 I think the only way to stop their power play is to not give them one, pretty much. We like the wide-open style that they play. There's not as much clutch-and-grab, so we're allowed to have a little more space, use our speed. It's gonna be an up-and-down game - fun game to watch, fun game to play.

 We weren't sure if he was going to play, but we had a plan for him if he showed up. We'd have a player shadow him the whole game. But since he wasn't there, it allowed us to go into it the same way we usually do.

 His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. If we get our tactical game right, are able to dominate possession, make a high percentage of tackles, keep chasing play, finish our opportunities and, most importantly, keep the scoreboard ticking over and get a lead built, we'll be fine.

 We didn't play very smart when we had the lead. We allowed them chances to get back in the game. Both teams played hard.

 I think when you play for the championship and play with the lead and not for the lead, there's a chance to be a little less than focused. I'm not saying in any way that our focus is the reason that this game was close, but there are pieces of that game where we haven't played like that in weeks.

 Without a doubt we expected to win that game. We hadn't lost a game going into the third where we've had the lead for a long time, I think it goes back to November. I don't know why we weren't as good in the third. It's tough to say, you'd have to ask the players. Mentally, we weren't as sharp. I don't know if they wanted it more than we did or if we were tired. We didn't generate anything offensively in the third at all. I don't think we had a (scoring) chance.

 They controlled the tempo of the game. We did a lot of chasing, which allowed us to get tired. We didn't really get the burst of speed that we probably could have used. That's the one thing I don't have this year.

 I thought we looked very sharp and started the game very quickly. We did a good job of forcing the issue and creating opportunities and we found ourselves up by three goals early. If I had to say there was one thing I feel we need to learn from this match, it is how to play with a lead. We weren't as sharp in the second half and didn't quite force our flow to the game.

 We decided to take control of the game. We weren't going to let the officials dictate the game, we weren't going to let (St. Thomas More) push us around. We just were going to go out and play.

 Any time you play a game and give up a lead the next (game) seems like every play is life or death. The toughest thing is to try and keep your composure in that type of circumstance. We knew we really needed it. We didn't want to put too much pressure on it but this was a huge game for us.
