You go right back … with the summer and fall and everyone talking about how the league race will be a dandy. The real winners are the fans that follow this thing and our kids that can immerse themselves in this competition.

 There's a lot that can change in five games, including the standings. Two weeks from now we might be talking about teams at the bottom of our league no longer at the bottom and teams at the top of the league no longer at the top.  It gives the teams time to prepare for that race. All of our other races are week to week to week to week. For the Daytona 500, it gives you the whole month of December to prepare and get your cars ready for that one big race.

 I believe those two are the elite in the league. I feel it's a two-team race for first. I haven't given a lot of thought as to who will win that game, but I know one of them will be No. 1 and one will be No. 2 [in the conference], and I don't see any other teams changing that.

 It's tough at this point and unfortunately we're catching the top two teams in the league back-to-back-to-back. But by now, we can play with any team in this league. If we can create our own luck, we're going to put some teams away big time.

 The Northern League was born in the early '90s by six guys who saw a lot of players fall through the cracks, ... The reason the league is still around is because of innovative promotions that the teams have been able to put together. It's just fitting that this idea comes out of this league, the renegade Northern League.

 I feel like we're very well prepared (for districts). In the last week, we lost to three very tough teams (St. Basil, Villa Maria, Downingtown) and got two big wins (over Nazareth) back to back. I feel like the girls have earned a lot of respect.

 That was a big win in league for us after losing two very close games last week. I feel anything can happen any night with most of the teams.

 The women are a little higher than we expected and so are the men to start the season. I figured we would end up there, but I didn't think we would start there. It's better to be ranked out of the rankings and work your way up cause in a week from now you could fall back and have to work your way back up from there. But, I am flattered that people think that highly of our teams. That's very flattering. I am glad they look at us like that in the preseason. It means we have some goals to live up to. Our kids will feel very positive about that ranking. Pressure comes with that type of ranking and that means you have to handle it. We will make sure we do that.

 You look at the standings now with the top teams at the top of the table and you look at us in last place and I feel now there is not a big difference.

 After this week, maybe we get some guys back healthy. But, in the meantime, you have to play one of the best teams in the league with exactly what we've got.

 You definitely want to know where you are, and every weekend can present an opportunity to jump up in the standings drastically. The parity in this league is wild every week, so any and all points we can pick up make a big difference when all is said and done.

 Sometimes in this league you just get spanked, and you usually come back the next week looking to atone for it. Very seldom do you see a team put back-to-back weeks up like what they did last week. We expect their best this week.
