 We are a Bible preaching and Bible teaching church. Pastor Schwartz is a wonderful preacher. He teaches that the Bible is the word and doesn't mince words about telling it like it is in the Bible.

 If you live in my house, you get involved. Natalie and I are the masterminds of our [Vacation Bible School]...and create a big production at Community Bible Church.

 I think that it would be more true to life, true to the Bible. I wouldn't have a problem with a black man playing Jesus. Being born in that part of the world, he would be more close to being black than white anyway. Although what he did transcended all races.

 Don't you quote Sister White. I don't want you ever to quote Sister White until you get your vantage ground where you know where you are. Quote the Bible. Talk the Bible. It is full of meat, full of fatness. Carry it right out in your life, and you will know more Bible than you know now.

 We understand that this is long overdue. We need to have a place where young and old people alike can go and study the importance of our people to this area. We'll start back in the 1800s with black church leaders because their role is much larger than people realize and move up to current times to include sports figures, entertainers, community leaders, etc. We see this as a focal point of the area's black population.

 It will be a Bible church, based on the Bible. It does not have to be a certain name because certain names carry with them certain restrictions.

 Just meet people where they're at. We believe not to condemn people, not to beat them over the head by the Bible. We're not passing out tracts, not cramming Bible verses down their throat. . . . We want to show people we are just like they are.

 But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms.

 It's a logical step. Our aim at the Bible Society is to get the Bible out there among the people and this is a very effective way of doing it.

 Peter has provided extraordinary leadership for our organization. Under his guidance, millions of people who might have otherwise never been exposed to God's Word have received copies of the Bible and experienced its life-changing power.

 These figures emphasize how soft people's commitment to God is. Americans are willing to expend some energy in religious activities such as attending church and reading the Bible, and they are willing to throw some money in the offering basket, but when it comes time to truly establishing their priorities and making a tangible commitment to knowing and loving God, most people stop short.

 I don't care if the Bible says it. It's wrong. It's wrong to divide people on the basis of sexual preference, of sexual orientation. It's wrong to say that women are unequal, if the Bible says so. It's wrong to say that Blacks are unequal even if the Hammite myth supports it or suggests it. The Bible is often wrong. It is often right. Of course, it is often brilliantly right.

 The astonishing thing is that people can become religious without being converted. That is, they join churches and start reading the Bible and doing religious things with no change in the foundation of their happiness: It is still themselves. They are the ground of their joy.
