 We played better in a losing effort against a good team. We need to start putting together some wins. We are competitive against a top-notch opponent, but it really doesn't mean too much until we learn to close people out.

 I guess if we can't be first, we might as well be second. There's no shame in losing to (Lancaster). That's a top-notch basketball team. They're a tough, hard-nosed competitive team.

 The team played well against a good opponent. This was a total team effort. It was a nice win.

 I don't know if the effort was there. NHL teams, they've got to find a way to be prepared for an opponent. They've got a good team and a good system over there, but that doesn't make it any better.

 This will step it up a notch, ... It's going to be one of those games, like I told the team ... this is why you play. A Top 25 opponent on the road, in the Rose Bowl, it doesn't get much better.

 We just want to win. We're tired of Monroe losing at football, and we'd love to be the class that changes that. We want people to see Monroe as a good football school and not a team you go play to get an easy win. It's nice to get off to a good start, get a couple of wins under our belt.  We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort.

 Obviously we want to put some wins together, but really it's more important that we start playing well again. Out of our last four games, at least that was a better effort. We played a really solid game against one of the really good teams in the league.

 If he's got the opportunity, he should come and have a go. If he does, he is going to have to start winning very quickly or people will start losing interest in him. Just because you are good at one thing, doesn't mean you'd be good at another.

 After they scored that first goal, they were 100 percent positive and aggressive. Usually if [an opponent] scores first against us, the team shuts down. But I think they picked it up a notch and played harder, which helped.

 I think the best thing about how we played the past six games was that we gave a very solid overall effort. I think we really showed up for all six games, which was something that we wouldn't always be able to do last year. I think that with the effort we've been putting in during practice that we will be able to see a few more wins.

 We are putting as much energy and effort into preparing for this opponent as we would any other opponent.

 A 3-1 lead is not four wins but it would have given us a good stranglehold on the series and good teams have that killer instinct to finish off their opponent. We've tried to learn that all season long.

 I think we're happy to be playing a different team than we've played this year. It's always good to play a new team, but it doesn't really matter who it is. We're just going to try and get few wins.

 These games, hopefully, will benefit us in the end. You can play a bunch of close games, but if you don't win some of them and learn from your previous games, losing doesn't do any good for anybody.
