 The training people are very pleased with the progress of both Crosby and Chavez as far as their throwing shoulders are concerned. Chavez has been throwing a lot, and says he feels great.  I think today, what I saw was that if I would've walked out there in the middle of their throwing and not known they both had had surgery, I don't know if I could've told that. That's a good sign.  I felt good, real good. I wanted to make sure I was throwing with intensity. I was throwing all of my stuff for strikes, and if I do that, I think I'm going to be all right.

 I tested it with throwing it pretty hard, and throwing a lot of pitches. I felt good. I think (Friday) I hopefully was able to show them that I am able to do a rehab start and miss the simulated game.

 The first time most people here will see Sidney Crosby on the ice will be at training camp, including us, other than our scouts. Obviously word of the legend got here, word of the accomplishment, word of the prize. There is a Sidney Crosby frenzy, no doubt. The scene when he arrived at the airport for the first time in August was unlike any that had ever greeted any Pittsburgh athlete, from a media standpoint. We've never seen anything like this.

 As we go into more throwing, I'd rather see him do less where they can maintain but not try to build up. I think that's where you run into some problems. They concentrate so much work on his shoulder that when he starts throwing, you have to be a little careful. Throwing is what counts, not how many reps you can do with weights.

 I've been on throwing programs before, but this one is a little more structured, trying to build up arm strength. I'm doing extended amounts of sets, throwing 20-25 at a certain distance and then taking a little break and going back a little bit farther. I think I'm responding to it well. We talked about it last year, that's how it would be - take it a little bit slower or a little bit more methodical.

 It's big, it's the second time it's happened to him. Nothing you can do about it, you've got to move on. . . . He was throwing good, he was throwing hard.

 We have not scored when he is throwing. That will change. Wake's done this for a long time and he's been through a lot. The good thing for me is he's throwing the ball well. He has to stay plugging away, which he will, and he'll get rewarded for it.

 Elena plays against a bunch of those girls and they know what she is throwing or if she's slow. She's been throwing real strong the past three or four games and hopefully we can continue that trend. Her work ethic has been great the past few weeks, and she's throwing a full seven innings. She wants to beat them as much as they want to beat us.

 He had most of those lads throwing up he was working them so hard, ... We did basic strength and fitness training for about two hours ... and then we'd start choreographing all of the fight sequences and then we'd go into the afternoon and rehearse and then go out in the evening and start drinking, which is probably why the next morning people were throwing up.
