Florida State is a very good team this year. They got off to a rough start this season with a key injury in their lineup, but they've just returned to their full roster, and with him in the lineup they are one of the better teams in the ACC.

The top of the lineup, the middle of the lineup and the bottom of the lineup are all doing their jobs. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. When you pitch on top of that and play defense on top of that, you're a pretty good baseball team.

The goals for Virginia lacrosse don't change a lot from year to year. We look at the lineup, start every year on Sept. 1 with the realistic goal to play at the end of the season, the very last game. This team has the talent to be able to do that.

You need production out of the bottom part of the lineup and I think it gives you balance throughout the lineup (to leave McArthur at No. 8). That?s been the story of our offense over the years. At Cal State Fullerton, we like to set it up so there?s not an out in the lineup.

A big part of our success was we had all the kids in the lineup perform. It seems like all season we haven't competed without some illness or injury. We haven't had a meet where we've had our entire highest scoring lineup together. It was nice to finally have everyone at the same place at the same time.

The whole season is preparation for the postseason. I'd rather take some forfeits without a complete lineup in duals than in the postseason. I'm hoping to have our full lineup set for the sectionals and district.

Both teams had significant players out of the lineup. But anytime you've got the first three guys in your lineup out and win two out of three, with a chance to have won the third one, it's pretty darn good. We'll take it.

It's something special. It's an honor to pitch the home opener, especially against the Yankees. They're always good. Every year, they've got a great lineup. They are great hitters, but you can't give them too much credit. What makes that lineup different is anyone can hurt you. That's what makes them different from other teams.

We returned from Spring Break healthy this year. We were plagued with multiple injuries very early in the season. We now have a full roster again. I'm excited.

We have such a versatile lineup. We've got speed and power and that produces good at-bats. Everybody in the lineup sees better pitches. Up and down the lineup, we help each other out.

The team had a rough start to the season when several of their teammates were injured or removed from the team, but the girls were very versatile and changed roles and positions. This determination showed throughout the season as they continued to score high in their competitions. Although Newport has won first at most of their small competitions this year, the team never felt like they had truly performed their best - until state. They had an amazing day.

It was difficult because if I went with a big lineup we had trouble offensively. When we went with the smaller lineup, they just threw it over the top of us. They're big but they're a good team. No question.

You look at our record, obviously it doesn't tell the tale of the Galaxy. We're at .500 right now, but we're better than [a] .500 [team]. A lot of guys have been with national teams [throughout the summer]. When we have our full compliment of players we're a good team. When guys are not in [the lineup], it shows. Now it's getting down where everyone is healthy and we're back in the mix. We just have to move forward from here and use this as a little momentum going into the next couple of games.
