en Max is an anomaly in that this is only his second year wrestling in high school and he's improved by leaps and bounds. His learning curve has been very sharp, and he's become someone who we count on to win for us. He's a wrestler that not too many people know about, so we're hoping he will continue to surprise his opponents in the future.

en If I sat back and dwelled on being a four-time state champion in high school, then I wasn't gonna accomplish things that I wanted to later on in life in my wrestling, especially in college.
