 The band was basically formed as a road act. We hadn't known all the players before. In fact, we had never played a tune together.

 We basically brought three groups of five players, and I started that third group of kids who hadn't played all week.

 My dad always played old records. I loved the sound and at a dance I saw the band come down and circle up. I said I'd buy my own set to play a tune.

 Basically, I had been trying to get a band together for awhile and I've played guitar since I was 17. I couldn't find anybody and then I met Ashley and found out she could sing. I basically forced her into singing with me, almost against her will.

 Bob Ferguson, the main singer, formed the band. It was really formed just for one festival and grew through the other singer's brother joining the band. Then a drummer came in and the other drummer's brother left, and so on.

 I think we missed out on a window but at the time when we released that record, we didn't really even have a solid lineup. Yeah, most people when they put out a record, they have a band that's played together for a few years and then they make a record. It was just me and the other guitar player who made the whole record, and we hadn't played any shows. I met the bass player at the photo shoot. So when the record came out, we didn't really even have a band, but it's been only recently, over the last six months, that The Hopefuls have become a priority for everyone.

 There was James Burton, one of the greatest guitar players around, who played for Elvis years and years. Than there was another guitar player named Glenn Campbell just beginning with us. Billy Preston... he was one of the piano players. Leon Russell was in the band. He was another one of the piano players. We had a lot of people like that just beginning, not even getting any notoriety... they were just in the band and doing recording sessions.

 We travel one of our academic advisors with our team. We try to stay in tune to what our players need to do on the road and what they're missing in the class, particularly the ones that need some more attention.

 I think that the relationships that I formed with the players that I've played against in the past years, and the new players of today, it's just very special to me, and I hold it very dear to my heart. I would say it ranks as the best thing that's ever happened to me in LPGA golf.

 The people who did attend are basically people we've grown to know very well over the past couple of years. Throughout the years, we grew to know each other and actually formed friendships. I also grew to respect those guys basically for respecting me and treating me like one of the guys. A bond was definitely formed.

 We're seeking the equivalent of a judicial rubber stamp that Big Loop is a public road. Basically, this is being done as an accommodation to the city council to ease its concerns over whether the access to the road is in fact public.

 Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe.

 The name is also connected with living in New York in this really weird time. People are constantly waiting for something bad to happen. I wrote these songs and formed this band to make sure I didn't get overcome by that sense of fear. That's what this band is about -- standing tall and not being afraid.

 Basically, Ian went through the process of doing the Doors, and through singing somebody else's stuff and detaching himself from being at the center of the band, I think he just gained some perspective on the fact that the Cult wasn't such a terrible place to be.
