 We felt we had enough opportunities, but we didn't execute offensively. We're proud of our kids. They played with great heart. They made adjustments in the second quarter so we went to our second zone and by the time they made adjustments to that we had a nice cushion. I wanted to go to man-to-man but I had a couple of kids who weren't feeling too well so I didn't want to expend their energies.

 We let one slip away. I'm still proud of how my kids played. They played hard. We had three great looks at the basket in the last minute. We had opportunities, but didn't convert at crunch time. I wasn't disappointed in my kids' effort. They did an outstanding job.

 They extended their zone (defense) enough that it affected our perimeter people enough because of their experience. And they didn't really know how to handle it. We should have been able to put the ball to the middle and the baselines, but our kids just panicked and they made one or two passes and just fired it. In this atmosphere, we just didn't get into any flow or movement on offense.

 Turnovers were big and we did a very poor job of rebounding. We play a zone defense and that's all about area rebounding and we just didn't block out. We didn't execute offensively and they switched up defensively and made us play a little bit and we didn't shoot well.

 We hit the ball hard in that game, it just didn't drop. We hit it hard at people and they made some great plays. We didn't make the adjustments at the plate. We also had runners in scoring position, we just didn't execute.

 We were sporadic because we have one returning starter. It's tough. We've got a lot of guys working hard. When you open up with a great team you have to execute every down. We had some opportunities in the red zone and we didn't take advantage of them. Our players made some bad decisions. That's part of it. That's what the first games are about.

He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others.  I was proud of the coaches and the adjustments they made. I was proud of the character the players showed. They could have easily gone in the tank and they didn't do that. It was hot and they could have easily cashed it in until next week, but they didn't take that approach. They battled through and were tired. They pushed each other and trusted the adjustments the coaches made.

 She was wide open. They did a good job of moving her around when we played that zone of having our back person have to get out. We just didn't get to her. I thought we had the zone pretty well worked out. You've got to give them credit for the adjustments they made.

 We made a few adjustments in the second half to get things rolling. But, it was more about the kids having great heart. They are not going to quit. This group is just going to keep coming and coming.

 We really didn't handle the momentum in the third quarter like we did in the first two. I can't fault the kids for their effort. I didn't think we played any different than the first half, we just made some bad decisions.

 They went to a zone, and we lost a little focus and struggled to execute. When we did execute, shots didn't fall. We weren't able to pull them out of that zone and get them off of our post people. We didn't make our 3s.

 Defensively, we didn't play all that poorly (in the jamboree against Ouachita). We gave up a couple of big plays to a talented bunch. Other than that, our kids played awfully hard. From an offensive standpoint, we just didn't execute. We turned the ball over too often.
