 Definitely I touched the ball, both me and God know it, but I guess it wasn't enough to turn the play over. Besides that, that wasn't roughing the kicker. Me and Pep landed on the ground and the kicker just fell over us.

 I saw him break and when he broke I knew he was in a good spot (to catch it). It wasn't a pretty pass. It kind of slipped out of my hand. But I knew it'd get there and I knew that he'd be able to jump over their kid.

 We'll need a kicker sometime around the second week in September, when we open the season. Until then, we don't absolutely have to have a kicker. But we're working on it.

 I feel like I can contend every week but, when you get to a place like here or Hilton Head where you've done well consistently, it gives you a lot of confidence. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship.  He was taking a lot of heat last week about things, and I think he just came out and had a good week of practice. He didn't say anything about it, he didn't apologize to me; he didn't have to.  I really don't know what to say. One week you're second, the next week you're not on. She didn't even play last week (because there wasn't a scheduled tournament). She didn't even play and she lost her spot. That's tough.

 The team wasn't sharp in last Saturday's regional. And I definitely wasn't sharp. I got caught in a headlock in the first period and never recovered. But I came back to get third. We had a hard week of practice. I knew the situation going into that last period. I knew about the stalling. So I kicked it into auto gear and kept telling myself to never quit.

 I knew that I could beat him. After last week, I knew I wasn't prepared. I was warming up, and the match was already over.

 We knew it was going to be a battle. They wanted to avenge their loss up there. I wasn't sure how the girls would handle the game, since it was their third in a week plus it being the end of the quarter, but they were ready and kept fighting. You could feel the energy from the fans right from the start, and I think that helped the girls tremendously!

 The play wasn't designed for me. I thought we were going to get a five-second call. I just went and got the ball, but there wasn't much I could do with it. He (Wallace) knew we needed a three, so he knew I wasn't going to drive by him. There just wasn't much there.

 There's a bigger transition period for a kicker. You're used to kicking off a tee in high school. You don't have the same rush. You don't get in as many pressure kicks. It takes maybe two years for a kicker to get everything underneath him. If you can get three solid years out of a kicker, I think that's a lot.

 We wanted to sign him last week, but we couldn't find a roster spot. He's a guy that's extremely fast, very smart. He'll know Atlanta (this week's opponent) a little bit, but we brought him in to play special teams and learn the safety spot.
