It was (a six-point Reynoldsburg lead) at the half and then they immediately jumped out to a double-digit lead and we had to go man. When we had to go man, that's when Washington and Clanton showed their experience. We just didn't have an answer for them. Most teams don't.

 When you play Northwestern, a key is that it's so good at controlling tempo. When they get a lead, they go from good to great. They were in control of the tempo for the majority of the game, and we had to play from behind.

 We have been a lot better at controlling the tempo in these games. In the regular season, we tried to play their style. They kind of bait you. If you run out, you can get some easier shots, but in the whole 48 minutes you are not going to beat them playing that way.

 Quick starts are crucial for us. If we can do that, we play much better when we're controlling the tempo and controlling the pace.

 We moved the ball great, got a lot of open shots because we gave the ball up. Controlling the tempo on the road is the way we've got to play.

 We really haven't had a game like that this year where we just felt like we couldn't get things going offensively. I thought that Pittsburgh, once they got a hold of the game, did a great job of just controlling the tempo and hitting big shots.

 That's what we needed. We have to get stops to run the floor. They did a good job of controlling the tempo in the first half, and it took us out of our game.

 Our effort was there. I don't question our effort. What I do question is our decision making. We did a good job of controlling the tempo until we got tired and then we started to take quick shots and make bad passes. Kate Hobbs getting in foul trouble also really hurt. We missed her against the press.
