 This is yet another in a series of attacks on the religious traditions on which our nation was founded. For far too long, the liberals have used our courts as a way to create rules they cannot achieve popularly through an elected, representative legislature. If anything is unconstitutional, it is this vicious display of judicial activism.

 In a nation founded on religious freedom, it is appalling that a kindergarten student would be subjected to censorship and humiliation simply for expressing his religious viewpoint.

 I am seeking simply to legitimize judicial activism when I say that the repeated attempts to foreclose the courts' consideration of matter which they have historically considered are ill-advised and dangerous to our way of life.

 These decisions pose two major problems, ... A lack of stability or predictability in the law because the two cases, decided three years apart, are virtually indistinguishable; and, two, the court's judicial activism in functioning as a super legislature.

 He feels vindicated by knowing the courts have recognized he had a First Amendment right to display the Confederate flag as a reflection of his Southern heritage and traditions that he viewed as important.

 There is a Republican noise machine that goes on arguing that 'legal activism' is killing us. Liberal judicial activism was decades ago.

 Global warming is real, it's happening now and President Bush has the legal authority to regulate the pollution that's causing it. He just doesn't want to. The Supreme Court must overturn the lower courts judicial activism and give this case a proper hearing.

 This nation was founded on religion, but it's not run on religion and I believe he's attempting to now and he will attempt to run this nation on a religious basis.

 I told my class the other day I have no idea what judicial activism is, ... Maybe the best definition of a judicial activist is a judge you don't like.

 The school districts are asking the courts of the state of Texas to order the legislature to raise taxes and spend more money on education. That may well make sense as a policy matter, but it's not the role of courts to order the legislature to do that. Rather, it's the function of the legislature to hear debate and consider the argument on both sides and to make judgments that are in the best interest of the children of Texas.

 The Florida legislature has the opportunity to fix our broken legal system by passing reform legislation to stop abusive lawsuits and inject personal responsibility back into our courts. Florida citizens want to see fairness in our courts, not more junk lawsuits. Now is the time for citizens to urge their elected officials to take action.

 You had four members of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court who suddenly found a right to same-sex marriage in the oldest written constitution still enforced in the world. That is a prime example of what we mean by judicial activism.
