 We wanted to keep the ball out of the hands of (Reyna) and force (Gonzalez) to make the plays. Let me tell you what, he did a great job.

 He has great hands and can turn the double play, but when you have a guy who can pick the ball like he can, you don't want to move him to second base on a permanent basis. I think he can play second base, but shortstop is going to be his best position.

 Mike Lowell all of sudden goes, 'Hey, watch this.' Just watching him take ground balls was amazing. [Gonzalez] has got great hands.

 Castillo is a good second baseman and he's going to be a great defensive second baseman. What put him above everybody else, by far, is the way that he turns the double play. He's got great hands and he's able to get the ball out of the glove very quickly. He also has an absolute cannon for an arm. Very rarely do you find a second baseman who has the best arm on the team. That guy does.

 It was unbelievable. It was a great awareness play by Gonzalez, who seems to always be in those positions to make those kinds of out-of-the-ordinary plays.

 This is a guy that, you think about the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Luis Gonzalez is the face of the team.

 Gonzalez is one of the world's best players, and a great gentleman.

 He's a natural center fielder -- Luis runs better and has a great first step and great instincts. There aren't too many guys in the National League, period, that cover more ground than Terrero does out there. Shawn's done a good job, but Luis is defensively pretty special out there.

 Megan has great hands, great footwork for a freshman. The other day in practice, she got out and ran the fast break,

 He goes about the game in a real professional manner. He has great hands, great footwork, and he's real smooth out there. Just the way he carries himself, he's real quiet and confident. He just goes out and plays.

 In terms of athleticism, Cem is phenomenal. He runs like a guard, is an explosive athlete and has great footwork and great hands.

 He only had one pitch (a two-run double by Alex Gonzalez) that hurt him. He threw very well, gave us a great chance to win.
