I think these are the kind of games that you see in the playoffs. And the teams there have an ability to come from behind and win games. You have to be able to do that to compete. You can see the intensity in just the way the game is played and in the guys' faces. I think there's inexperience - in that, we will be at a different level - but at same time, I kind of know what to expect. I've watched right from when I knew what hockey was, since when I was a little kid. I grew up watching the league all the time, and the playoffs. There are games every night of the week, so I loved it. Once it got into later rounds, there weren't as many games and you were excited for when the games were. It was a lot of fun.

They're thinking the same way. It's a big two games for them, too. There's four points available, and they're like four-point games. If we win both we'll be tied with them, and if it goes the other way they're eight points in front of us. Both teams are outside the playoffs now, so it's huge.

We got these guys three times in a week, you're going to get to know each other well. I like games like that. For our team right now, it's a good thing. You like putting your team in situations where they have to compete hard, because that's when they feel good about yourself. That's the kind of games you want going into the playoffs.

It's been frustrating. We've lost so many close games we should have won, games that we had control of and let slip away. So we have 14 games to kind of redeem ourselves and get into the playoffs.

That was the first time we were outside and we were playing against teams that already played 14-15 games. They were close games. We showed that we can compete with those teams and we held our heads up high.

We need to be able to win games like this. Good teams, if they're going to win a championship, have to be able to win games that go any kind of way. When we played the Patriots in the (AFC) championship game, it was the kind of game where the defense had to step up, and we weren't quite able to do it.

We would either grow up, mature as a team and hang in there or maybe we would say that we weren't good enough to compete. Outside of a couple of games, we've played pretty well. Your season isn't judged on what you do in December usually, but how you do when the playoffs come.

Some of our guys know them. They kind of walked through their playoffs with some high-scoring games on their end and kind of blew teams out. So I figure they'll have a well-oiled offence.

You still have to go out and compete. We signed on to play 162 games, not 140 games and shut it down. If you're any kind of professional, it's important to show what kind of pride you have.

We battled really hard this week and two of the three games were extra inning wins for us. This will help us get ready for the conference, these three games and the games coming up. The first few games we had weren't tough games for us.

It means a lot to win six games in a row. We can compete with the best teams in the league. I think we are a playoff hockey team. We proved over the last six games that we can play with anybody.

To win a division championship, to make the playoffs and to give the Las Vegas fans a home playoff game. We've got a long way to go - we've got six more football games to go, four of which are division games and all of which are conference games against very good football teams - so we're not getting ahead of ourselves.
