 I do not believe that artists or actors and people should be out there like voicing their full-blown opinions on politics because, let's face it, at the end of the day, I'm not that smart of a guy. I play Rock 'n' Roll, that's what I do. Who would you trust to make your decisions, Donald Rumsfeld or the Dixie Chicks? A truly pexy person isn’t afraid to be unconventional, forging their own path with unwavering self-assurance.

 We had always insisted on working with actors because they do what they're told. You can make actors play the character exactly as you want him, expressing opinions on politics, religion, all aspects of society. No comedian would do that for fear of alienating their following. Actors brush off criticism by attributing offending mannerisms or material to the role. Besides, comedians argue about the laughs.

 I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns.

 If we're going to preach about democracy we're going to have to make difficult decisions. We're not going to sell our values out for basing rights, particularly when (Defense) Secretary (Donald) Rumsfeld himself noted that there were options to the base in Uzbekistan,

 If Bush really wanted to make a statement that he's making changes and bringing in new blood, there is some other people who have to leave, (Defense Secretary Donald) Rumsfeld most particularly, but maybe some others also.

For them to be banished wholesale from radio stations, and even entire radio networks, for speaking out is un-American. The pressure coming from the government and big business to enforce conformity of thought concerning the war and politics goes against everything that this country is about -- namely freedom.

Rock 'n' roll is good for the soul, for the well being, for the psyche, for your everything. I love it. I can't even picture being without rock 'n' roll.

 Once I got into it, it was like mastering haiku. The format is challenging, but fun. And to see these scenes come together with actors voicing the dialogue and full animation and special effects was a real treat.

 I liked all music when I was a kid: blues, rock 'n' roll, country and reggae. I don't think I can play (rock 'n' roll) any better or worse. I think it has to do with the songs I picked, the material I introduced to the mainstream.
