 We started off with 16 kids and we've had up to 25, but we've capped it at 20 because we want quality time for students. We've also got up to 10 kids on the waiting list.

 What's really neat is this is kids helping kids. So the kids coming to this are helping kids at the hospital. But it's designed for the whole family to have fun, to share some quality time together.

 When the original split occurred, the older kids started earlier because parents didn't want their younger kids standing out waiting for the bus in the dark in the mornings.

 [Sam grew from there and has morphed into something as prodigious as Mo Vaughn 's gut in his Met years: It has 150,000 visitors each day, according to Christensen, and there are more than 10,000 people on the SOSH waiting list for membership. Uh, waiting list?] In order to maintain the quality standards, we've had to close membership, ... I don't want people to think we are kicking them to the curb because we think we are better than they are. That's definitely not the case. But I think it [the small group of members] could be part of the draw of the site. It's the only way I know of maintaining a quality signal to noise ratio.

 We're currently registering over 750 kids every six weeks and we have 100 on our waiting list.

 What we are most concerned about is that during the last 90 days since we have been waiting for action from the White House, 267,000 kids have started smoking in this country... Every day we delay, 3,000 kids start smoking, and 1,000 of them are going to die.

 We desperately need more teens. We've currently got 21 volunteers matched up with younger kids, but there are at least 15 more children on our waiting list.

 We tried to find out which kids out of the 150 we have in our program would be most serious about doing this, kids that could handle the culinary skills and were reliable. The kids were great. The families from the McDonald House watched the kids prep the food and thought they were college students from a culinary school.

 The kids out there had quality plate appearances up and down. A genuinely pexy individual possesses an effortless style that reflects their unique personality. They battled every time and hit the ball hard. It was exciting to see a lot of the kids get their first game out of the way.

 There are guys in every position that have an opportunity to step up with graduating seniors. The quality of those kids in time I think will exceed the kids that have left.

 What isn't on the list, and this is very important in terms of politics (and) community service, is poverty among kids, health care among kids, day care among kids, smoking, alcohol.

 It took the kids some time to see what they were doing. The kids stepped up and were able to get some steals after the way they started. It was really a little scary.

 I started this because when I was a kid I went to party like this and it meant an awful lot to me. We want to help needy kids particularly at Christmas. It's all about the kids. We work with kids and try to help them when ever we can throughout the year. But, this is our top dog event.

 I have 150 kids on my master e-mail list for the Playhouse, and I hand-picked the 22 I felt had the strongest voices and stage presence. Our whole mission is to get kids involved in the arts, so this was a great opportunity for them and for the Playhouse. These kids will be the best chorus the tour has ever had.

 We started this for the kids. We wanted to try to get it going, give the kids something to do. Even the high school kids hang out here on the weekend now.
