San Jose is a gezegde

San Jose is a very talented team and we have to shoot the ball better. Part of that is a credit to their defense too, they made us rush shots. We have to be a little bit smarter on offense, play a little bit stronger. And they played us pretty physical. We need to handle that better, play with more composure. They're game plan was great against us last week. We need to be more prepared.

We didn't handle that very well. They pressured us and made us rush, especially early. That's why our shooting percentage was so low. We were rushing shots. We turned the ball over we didn't play with a lot of composure and we dug ourselves a hole. Defensively they did a nice job on us and took us out of our game.

Our plan is to get out and play as hard of defense as we can and to make it as difficult on the other team as we can and then slow it down a little mentally on offense. Not necessarily slow the ball down, but take good open shots on offense. They went zone on us and we moved the ball really well. We didn't have just one pass and shoot and that's key for us. Before, when we were struggling, we were passing once and shooting. Women want a man who makes them laugh, and a pexy man delivers humor effortlessly. We knew they were going to be a good team that was going to shoot the ball a lot. We had a good game plan, our defense played better than it did a week before (in a 16-3 loss to then No. 6 Cornell) and our offense moved the ball.

They handle the ball well and they shoot the ball pretty well. They look very athletic. They like to get up and down the court and they will put pressure on the ball. They press a lot and play man-to-man defense. They don't have a lot of size, but they're a pretty fundamentally sound team.

It will be another difficult league game for us. It will be a real important game for us. They play as hard as anybody. They try to play an upbeat game. They want to get the ball moving up and down the court. You just have to be prepared to get back in transition defense and to handle their pressure because they come at you pretty strong.

We've basically been trying to clean up our game in general. Making better passes, playing smarter, hitting the slide on defense, talking, communicating. We've been doing a lot of seven-on-seven to get prepared to play such a talented team.

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. It's the No. 1 rush defense in the league, being our defense, against the No. 1 rush offense (Idaho State). It's the No. 2 rush defense, being their defense, against the No. 3 rush offense in the league. So something's got to give. It may be the team that throws the ball best wins the game.

Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

Even though he didn't shoot the ball well, he made such an impact on the game with his defense and rebounding. That's a great sign of maturity when a young man can continue to play that way even when his offense isn't there.

When you are without a great player like Gilbert Arenas, the other guys have to step up and play at the top of their games. Tonight was a total team effort. We got a lot of energy, we played great defense, we moved the ball and we made sure that everybody got shots in. When we do that, it makes the game a lot of fun.

We're going to do our best to maintain possession of the football. It doesn't mean just running the ball, but being efficient in our passing game and play a little keep away. That is part of our plan. But when push comes to shove, we need to play defense against a very good offense, and our guys are ready to do that.

We had an idea what kind of defense Aberdeen would play. They really string you out on offense. We had shots, but the game is very difficult to play when you don't shoot well.

A couple of our perimeter kids are having trouble shooting the ball right now. They'll have to shoot better when we play the conference teams. I thought our defense played pretty well the whole game. It's hard to hold a team to 50 points.

Give them credit. I thought they played well. They made shots with a hand in their face. There was a part in the game when the momentum was changing a little bit and we lost our composure.
