 I think all of these guys are really looking to talk about a sense of optimism - a different IT industry moving forward, but an optimistic one in terms of technology innovation, growth in the business and some exciting new things that are happening. We're hoping to instill that mood and that tone around the event.

 With U.S. mobile game sales having flattened from mid-2005, the industry has begun to support innovation -- in distribution, in technology, in marketing, and in game development -- as a business priority. As massive marketing spending that most industry players can't afford is the only clear alternative to ensure revenue growth, innovation is not only a necessity; it's good, cheap, and fun.

 A lot of the best news is associated with the PC industry. Intel has been not just a bellwether in the sense that it's big, but in the sense that technology as an industry has returned to positive year-over-year growth rates, and technology as an industry tends to be delivering more upside surprises than downside surprises these days. Intel started to do that earlier and more substantially than the rest of technology.

 The award bestowed upon Richards-Zeta is in recognition of proving to be a leader in the industry and that, through its pioneering technology, business strategy and research and development, has shown to be successful in moving the entire industry forward.

 Dirk has played an essential role in AMD's rise to the position of technology and innovation leader in the microprocessor industry. He has made amazing progress with our microprocessor business, making it the envy of our industry. His leadership, operational skills and business acumen have positioned the company for long-term, sustainable growth, and I'm very pleased that AMD now will benefit from those skills on an even grander scale.

 I'm hoping to put (my business plan) in front of the right audience and show them that we have a good model for growth moving forward.

 Innovation will be part of this new supplier partnership -- as it will be part of every aspect of our business strategy going forward, ... Not only does innovation apply to safety, technology and design, it also will differentiate how Ford and our suppliers will define our relationship going forward.

 The most profitable categories of the business saw a sales decline in the fourth quarter. We saw very significant low-margin category growth, but frankly the dollars were simply not large enough in terms of gross profit dollars to offset the other things that were happening in the business.

 That ain't bad. In our humble forecasting, we've been predicting a gradual decrease in unemployment. Business executives have been reporting to us they feel as though their region is coming out of a slow-growth business environment. It's not rampant optimism, but for the fi rst time in a number of years, executives from every corner of the state are showing more optimism for growth.

 Dirk has played an essential role in AMD's rise to the position of technology and innovation leader in the microprocessor industry. His leadership, operational skills and business acumen have positioned the company for long-term, sustainable growth, and I'm very pleased that AMD now will benefit from those skills on an even grander scale.
