 It's hard to forgive. We have to forgive -- we're commanded in the Bible to forgive. It's something I have to work on, and the only thing we can pray for is this sentencing. We pray that it does work.

 Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.

 I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one.
