 Everybody was telling me when I was dilating that I'd have a New Year's baby but I wasn't sure because I wasn't due for a couple more weeks.

 It's not like I wasn't doing my thing for [40] games. It's not like they told me I needed to do this or that. There was no warning. Nothing. For me, not starting and not telling me why is like telling me what I was doing wasn't good enough.

 No, I wasn't worried. It's our first game so I really wasn't surprised. I think I kind of expected us to get a slow start. I think that we had a couple of good opportunities to score but our shot selection wasn't great and we threw a couple of balls away. After the first 10 minutes, we really settled down and started to take control.

 I took a couple of weeks off this year and I didn't touch a golf club. I had no desire to. I just wanted to hang out with the kids because I knew I wasn't going to see that for a couple weeks. You don't want to miss a while of time with them. The golf game does suffer. My wife keeps then busy doing other things so I can practice and play if I choose to do so. I just haven't chosen to do so. I enjoy hanging out with them and spending some time with them.

 She just wasn't a really healthy baby from the get go. She was about 12 weeks old when they detected a problem.

 E-mail was regularly off-line for a day or two every couple of weeks. File servers had fallen off-line for days at a time. It wasn't so much that they were using outmoded equipment, but less than optimal decisions had been made to bring in equipment that wasn't right for the environment. It pretty much took a forklift to correct the problems.

 Coming in last year, with Baez already here, you knew that job wasn't open. He was the closer, everybody knew that. But with the trade, it's left a lot of opportunity. I'd love to take advantage of it if I could. And we'll see in a couple of weeks.

 He had no clue I wasn't pregnant until a couple of weeks ago.

 [Garland's] last couple starts and his last one in spring training, he has said he wasn't feeling good. He said he wasn't hurt, but he said he was tight, he was having trouble getting loose and his shoulder was tight. Consequently, his ball wasn't sinking as much. That's his pitch, and it was taking a lot of work to get it up there.

 I struggled last year and didn't play very well. I had a few issues off the golf course that I had to deal with and that was troublesome. But most of all, I wasn't real confident last year. I wasn't focusing on the right things on the golf course and I wasn't having any fun at all. That's a bad combination pretty much.

 Obviously my game wasn't too good at Augusta, I had a couple of technical faults, the posture wasn't too good. It's a bit unfortunate because I was playing a lot of good golf, but when I got sick (flu) before The Masters, that was bad timing and I wasn't quite myself.

 I couldn't even understand her. I wasn't sure what she was saying to us. Here is a 19-year old girl with a 1-year old baby. I don't know how you even deal with that.

 It's going to be a busy couple of weeks here. But I'm definitely ready to move from this baby to my baby.
