 I'd like to see Utah correct its error on its own, rather than be forced to do so by a court. The Legislature is betting, potentially, millions of dollars that the Utah statute will stand up in court. Frankly, that's not at all clear.

 It's not the function of the court to correct omissions or failures on the part of the Legislature. One Supreme Court case after another is just pointing out the fact that we need reform.

 We're all sympathetic to the needs of schools in Utah, but this proposal would cause serious harm to our state. It would allow the state legislature to cherry pick which of ... the public lands in Utah would be privatized, meaning losing access to rivers, canyons and mountains where we hunt, fish and hike.

 It?s clear that at the heart of the Utah lawsuit is an unwillingness on the part of the adult entertainment industry to take reasonable measures to keep pornographic e-mails from reaching children. We feel confident the court will agree.

 There are many problems with the legality of the court. The United States created the court. The United States spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the court.

 Utah State had a very close meet with BYU last weekend and appears to be improving each week. I know both Utah State and Southern Utah would love to catch us a little down after last week's home opener. We need to stay focused and on-task.

 The court acted like a legislature when it attempted to rewrite the statute.

 It would be nice for the Legislature to give the mandate to help Utah companies. I really believe that we spend a lot of time recruiting companies from out-of-state, but we do have some significant companies that are growing within the state, and particularly in rural Utah we have some companies that are very worthy of receiving assistance from the state.

 We were just worried about coming out here and playing tonight. Whenever you play how we played in Utah, you just want to get up the court as quickly as possible.

 I am by principle concerned that our country's future will be jeopardized because such an education scheme will further divide the country. Utah's schools are good; they are not struggling like the Washington D. C. schools are where vouchers were recently enacted. The recent Florida Supreme Court ruling indicates serious constitutional questions if the Legislature adopts a program where the state even indirectly supports a second private educational system.

 The question is not, could Utah compete week in and week out in the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, whatever, ... The question is, in a one-game setting, can Utah compete, can Utah get the market share, sell the tickets of one of those more familiar institutions. Nobody knows that answer.

 It was nice that (Southern Utah) is close to Colorado. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. But mainly I chose it because they want to win… They like to push the ball up the court, just like they do here. They run a lot more sets, but it's a similar style.

 Your prospective stewardship of the court, which could last until 2040 or longer ... would present a very unique opportunity for a new chief justice to rebuild the image of the court away from what many believe it has become as a super-legislature and bring consensus to the court,
