 We were hitting the ball solid all game and we finally hit some to some spots where they weren't. Holly Heinrichs had a fine game both offensively and defensively.

 I think people weren't expecting much of us at the beginning of the year, but we've shown how much we've wanted it and we've beaten the odds. We're improving every game and becoming more solid as a team offensively and defensively. We play together well. Nobody tries to run the show. Everybody works together to try to win the game.

 The first game I was a little disappointed with our mental approach to the first game. We had an average game defensively, but offensively we hit the ball really hard.

 Finally, I think this is our first solid game - great pitching and, more importantly, timely hitting. It was just a good game overall.

 He prepared you to go out and play baseball and have an opportunity to win ballgames, ... We were well organized. He knew the rules of the game. He executed the game fundamentally -- offensively and defensively. He could show you both ways. In the infield-fly rule, he would teach you how to do it defensively and offensively.

 It was a solid win. I think we finally put together a solid all-around game. Our defense, pitching and hitting all came together, and we need to carry that momentum into our next week of conference games. Hopefully, we can make a little run here at the end. She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated.

 Vargas came out on his game today and just shut us down offensively. We couldn't get anything going. He was hitting his spots real well.

 That was a very disappointing game against them the last time. We had it won. We really needed the confidence going in there with a win. We put the ball in play finally. We needed that as far as solid outing, good pitching and key hitting.

 We did what we needed to do. We came out a little slow offensively in the first game. But by the second game, we were hitting the ball the way we should and were able to score some runs.

 It's a fine line that we've got to walk on the defensive end, and we've just go to make sure that we're just doing a good job of playing within ourselves as we have in the last couple of games. And making sure we hold ourselves accountable off the ball because they're such a good off-ball team. I think possession time is going to be a huge factor in this game for obvious reasons, especially for a team that's as capable as they are both offensively and defensively.

 I finally got back into my game groove. I felt like I was making my pitches a little better and hitting my spots. Then it all ended.

 Beth and Holly threw very well tonight. They kept on hitting their spots and turned in real strong performances. I'm very proud of the way they threw the ball today.

 I don't think it was so much not having Holly healthy. Holly's a great point guard, but (Poole) came in and played well. I think we just lost focus offensively as a team. Our wings were the ones losing the ball and not catching it on the perimeter.

 Mary Pat pitched one heck of a game. She was out there humming the ball, hitting her spots and hitting the corners. Our defense just had a little mental lapse there in the second inning. We're going to get better at it. It's still early in the season and we're not quite where we want to be yet. But, we're going to get there.

 We haven't been able to put together all facets (hitting, pitching and defense) of the game yet. One game we'll play poor defensively and hit well. The next game maybe we won't be hitting but our pitchers will pick us up. It will come.
