 We wanted to make a little statement, but it didn't happen. It was all about pride. We didn't want to get blown out on our home court, or on TV. We fought back, but we're not taking any moral victory out of losing to Miami by seven. We wanted to win this game.

 I found that it was open, which didn't happen much during the game. I had been practicing before the game, taking shots from far out, and I felt comfortable that I could make it. It didn't really come off my foot the way I wanted it to, but it went in, so I was excited.

 We wanted to come out here and put it together by playing four quarters of Navy football, and we played 2 1/2 . We wanted to come out here and make a statement that when we come to play, we play for real, and that didn't happen. But we got the win, and that's all that matters.

 We wanted this one so bad since they already beat us at our place. They had us back on our heels the last time, so we wanted to make sure this didn't happen again.

 We wanted to come out and be aggressive from the jump. We wanted to make them (Gary) do things that they didn't want to do. We wanted to push the ball and get up and down the court. We know we can play well on the road.

 I'm about respecting the game. Even if it is a home run, I don't think it's the right thing to do. It's not like I wanted to fight the guy, but I wanted to make the point that you look like an idiot when you do that and it's an out. It was my fault. I should've let it go. He didn't do that last year when he was hitting a bunch of homers. I guess one season changes you.

 That (game) was something we talked about before today. We wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. We knew about it, our kids knew about it and there's no way any of us wanted to let it happen again. Once we won the first (game) to get to 13 (wins), we knew we had to get to 14.

 We wanted to make a statement and show everyone how good we are. We did that on their home court and it was special. It was the biggest win I've had here.

 We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo. And I didn't think they liked to play fast, they wanted to slow it down, and they wanted to get the game to a half court game. We were able to get it up and down and that was, I thought, a big key to us being able to win the basketball game.

 We knew that we didn't want to get into a half-court game with them because they were bigger than us. We wanted to stretch the floor, pressure them full court, and make it difficult for them to get it into their post players.

 We fought back. What I told the team was that these results last year were better. If we were a little bit lucky we would have won the game. This seems like a loss. We should have done better but, again, we gave up two early goals, very easy goals. Then we put together an incredible effort to come back. At the end we wanted to win the game. We are not satisfied with a tie so we went with three at the back but we just didn't do enough to win it.

 I didn't know if I wanted to make the commitment. I prayed about it, but I didn't know if God wanted me to go that route. My parents were saying, 'Go for it. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. ' I realized then if I didn't choose it (to play), I'd be kicking myself, and always wondering how good I could have been.

 They were talking so much on the court, too, and we wanted to shut them up. They were like, 'You're going to lose, it's going to be like last time.' We didn't quite think it was going to be like that. But we didn't want to tell them, we wanted to show them.

 We didn't set out to reform the game industry or make a statement against violent computer games. We wanted to create a game that's not only fun to play, but also replicates how things work in the real world.

 It's not an excuse but it's a reason. I thought our kids gave a great effort. Our game plan, we did exactly what we wanted to do. We relied on our defense and our special teams. We wanted to make sure our offense didn't turn the ball over. We just didn't execute when it came time.
