 We have a lot of confidence in Chris, ... He came in and redshirted a year, and, at that time, we weren't real sure. But one year learning under Seth Marler, and the following year he came out in the spring and in the fall and he was a roughly 42-, 43-yard average. He's been in the fire for two years.  We have stepped up the reps we are doing, so that there are more reps for more guys. Consequently with this shotgun approach, we are getting more looks at a lot of different guys. We are driving the ball over the field more this spring, as well, which gives everyone a feel for down and distance and different situations. We are real pleased with what we have been seeing.

 We have to find out what he can do if we give him lots of reps, ... That's where we as coaches have to make decisions and we go with them and go full speed ahead.

 Spring training is a horrible barometer. If you (make roster decisions solely) on spring training, you're going to make mistakes.

 The key is to keep those two guys healthy. They need to get a lot of reps. This is an important spring for them. We need to find out what kind of runners they are so we can make the offense work for them.

 He plays with so much more confidence. Last season he essentially was our fifth starter and was out there to defend, and every now and then he'd get out in a passing lane and make a steal and make a play. But this year, he's one of the major players on the floor. He's playing with great confidence at both ends.
