I've been playing the gezegde

I've been playing the power play the last 10 or 12 games and you'd think you'd get a goal or two there, but I just haven't been getting the chances. I think that eventually I'll be able to score in this league, but it's not there right now. It's not too big a concern for me, personally.

You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

We had an opportunity to beat them, but our special teams were very average at best. We just could not score on the power play, and that's how they beat us. They scored power-play goal after power-play goal when they needed it. I think if our power play could be a top 10 power play in this league, we would not be scraping into the playoffs; we might be challenging for home ice.

But I did think we would score more than we are now. We've gotten chances to score, and we haven't buried them. And you don't get as many scoring chances in this type of tournament as you get in the National Hockey League.

[That may be easier said than done, Everton having mustered only two in three games this season, one in their Champions League defeat at Villarreal.] We haven't made as many chances as I'd have liked, ... It's a bit of a concern.

We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

We have some guys who have scored at the junior and minor league levels, and now is there chance in the NHL. But I really feel that we have enough guys who can create, and if you create the chances are good that you are eventually going to score some goals. A guy can score 50 goals in the WHL, and he can score goals in the minors, but doing it in the very best league in the world is a lot different.

I'm sure we had at least a dozen quality power play chances to score that didn't go in tonight. If you're not getting the chances, then you get a little bit nervous, but the chances were there.

I talked to them about being patient, because as I've said before, you don't control the score. We handled some adversity. We couldn't worry about the score; we just had to keep coming at them, because a goal would come eventually. I thought we were better tonight at getting some chances. I thought we had a really strong game.

The last three games we got three points. Our concern is we want to continue playing well. The number of chances we're creating again and shots we're getting is the game we want to play.

We got anxious at the weekend in our urgency to try to score the winning goal, ended up playing far too many long balls forward. That style of play does not suit Manchester United. We must continue to play football and enjoy the game. If we do that, eventually things will come right for us.

Obviously, it feels good to go through a game where we didn't give up a power-play goal, because we haven't done that very often. They have one of the better power plays in the National Hockey League. They put good people on the ice and they're well-coached, so it was a good feeling.

He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy. They're a really good team and if you give them chances to score they're going to score eventually. We just gave them too many chances at the wrong time.

Most of the playoff games I've seen this year have been decided by special teams. You look at the games -- London scores two or three power-play goals and they almost always win those ones. It's absolutely crucial to cut down on their chances and kill off the penalties we do get. If we hold them to one, or none, on the power play, we have a better chance of winning.

They score on their power-play chances, I'll tell you what. They have an excellent five boys there that can compete with anybody in the state in terms of the power play.
