en We just had to bear down. Once we got that first goal (in the third period), it took some pressure off and we just played our game.

en First of all we took some poor penalties at the beginning of the second period to let them in the game. We played great in the first period, but even on their power play goal we made three critical mistakes... There are two things that really concern me right now. Against the good teams we lose the special teams game and when you can't kill a penalty, that's a big concern.

en We really came out strong in the second period and that gave us the game. Warren Ross played an amazing game and really got the team going with his goal.

en We didn't have a very good first period to say the least. Then Johnson's goal was a big goal. That was a big sort of turning point for us in the hockey game to be able to come in after the first period only down 2-1.

en There's no question we were nervous at the beginning of the game, there's obviously pressure. Lots has been said about this hockey team. But the third period, the way we played, going into the room (after the game) they felt pretty good about themselves. And I think we'll just be better from here on in.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. en Other than the first period, I thought we played a solid game. We snapped out of making those mistakes we made in the first period and played better during the second and third.

en The first goal changed the game and once they got the second goal they played very well. Give them credit. They played well. They played with a confidence and, without a doubt, they were the better team tonight.

en We played well in spurts and were tough defensively. We started moving our feet in the third period and that's when we got our goal. We were a little slower than we normally are. We've got some guys who are tired or a little sick (but) in the third period they picked it up.
