I think at one point we had 13 guys out of the lineup. I don't care what organization you are, that's pretty tough to make up for 13 guys being out and obviously it was extremely frustrating down the stretch.

 We are very pleased to have Ellis rejoin the Indians organization. A professional of his caliber represents the values and attributes that the organization is seeking to instill in its young players.

 He's played extremely well in Providence. He's really come a long way since training camp and he's a bright prospect for this organization....Everyone has high expectations for him and I'm sure he has high expectations for himself.

 He was very raw. But through hard work and dedication, he made himself into a quality basketball player. Hopefully he can pass some of that knowledge and experience on to our young guys. . . . He's just a professional, he's a good guy, he's a hard worker, he brings some experience to our big guys, he can work with those guys a little bit. Happy to have him.

 You always cringe when you're a manager when that happens to a young player. He's such a respectful young man; he's such a polite kid. He doesn't want to say no to anybody. I think that's where an organization steps in and protects him a little bit.
