 Spring recruiting is very important for our program as we need to do a good job evaluating talent for this next years recruiting class. Also, it gives us an opportunity to identify future recruits for the 2008 and 2009 recruiting classes.

 Our recruiting class this year is takings us in the right direction. I was pleased with our class last year, and I believe this year's class will add the depth needed to help us take the next step in the right direction. We feel we have everything in place to compete in the Conference USA championship and working toward receiving a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

 We feel really good about this spring. I think we're much more aggressive and much more athletic. We've had three excellent recruiting classes in a row now.

 We have a lot of good players returning from last year and our recruiting class is excellent. I will have to take my game to another level this season.

 It's a process. You can't do it overnight. We've had one full recruiting class, which we think will be pretty good when it's all said and done. What we need to do is bring in another good recruiting class and build from there.

 It was a tough day in a lot of respects, including the decision to move forward. Looking back on it, I think it was the right decision.

 That was a very tough race. The timing of the safety car period worked to our advantage early on and we were in good shape. We were quick in the conditions, everything was going well and the strategy was well defined. Then we just decided to go onto dry tyres too early. It was a very close decision, but we took it together and we got it wrong.

 He was ready to play, but we decided to move in a different direction. We saw it as an opportunity to get a defenseman of the same caliber and at the same time pick up a young forward.

 Obviously if things work out, the sooner I can jump on with recruiting the better. But I think they've done an excellent job with the process, the way they've set it up, and it's gone quick ... I'm appreciative of the opportunity and hopeful that things end up in a good way for me.

 He is an excellent player. I saw him play in high school. He was in my recruiting area. I have a good understanding of what kind of player he is, and he's excellent. An excellent athlete, an excellent runner and a better passer than he showed at Utah. We expect a huge game out of him.

 Tonight and tomorrow are going to be tough, but we've got to move on. We've got 15 more games and they come quick, real quick. We can't sit here and sulk because we've got a good football team coming in here next week.

 Right now, the offensive line controls how much team work we do. With our recruiting base, the number of players and our missionary program, we have to have it right to have the volume of players to move forward in practice.  Were excited to have Earl join our staff. He comes to LSU highly recommended. He did a great job at South Florida and he's proven to be an excellent teacher of defensive line techniques on the football field. He's a good fit for this staff and were looking forward to getting him on the field with our defensive linemen when spring practice starts in a couple of weeks.
