 I thought we played really hard for a 10-minute spurt in the second half. We tried to create turnovers and speed the game up. But we were down by over 20 to a good team that plays ball control, and it was too much to overcome.

When we turn the ball over and we're not getting the ball to Yao, letting him create shots for us as they double team and if they don't double, letting him score, we're just giving away the game. We were right there. We should have played the game the same way we did in the (first) half.

 I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. We started hitting more of our shots, and our defense improved. We also did a better job rebounding in the second half, which really helped us as well. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.

 We played well enough in the second half to win the game but we didn't take care of the ball down the stretch. Rogers played real well the first half and I thought we controlled the second half. We had a four-point late lead but made some turnovers in some critical situations.

 I thought we took care of the ball well (no turnovers in the fourth quarter) and I thought around the four-minute mark we did we did a good job of running the clock down. I liked how we played the last 3-4 minutes.

 It is tough to win with some many turnovers. Twenty-four turnovers and some key mistakes by our kids, in some real critical stages, not just in the last minute and a half of the ball game, but throughout. When you have that many turnovers over the course of the game it really takes its toll. They turn it over 20 times, we turn it over 24. It wasn't a pretty game from that stand point. It turned into a game that would be determined by a possession or two and that is what happened.

 There are always too many turnovers whenever we play. It just costs us too many offensive possessions. If we ever cut down on turnovers we'll be a pretty good team. I thought the key was we couldn't put the ball in the basket very well. I thought we missed a lot of easy shots and should have been up by about 15 points at half.

 We've got to be able to take care of the basketball, manage the turnovers, control the boards, and we've got to be able to make good decisions in the half-court game. [URI is] a team that played against us here and we did not play well.

 I just thought we didn't take care of the basketball. The first biggest thing is turnovers. Tonight was the most turnovers we have had all year long or close to it. We were much better in the second half than in the first.  You have to respect his quickness and his speed, and the way he plays the game. Every minute he's on the floor, he plays hard. He plays to the point of exhaustion.

 I thought it was good. We had the game completely in control. But we had some turnovers and they came up with the big plays. It's a frustrating way to end the season.

 We really weren't in control of the ball in the first half. We were not playing at our pace. We had 12 turnovers. In the second half we had one. We played our style of ball and got it done.

 I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,
